YourEnquiry: Hello,
I am researching my family tree and wondered if anyone coule help me. My Grandad Frederick Charles Harris born 1906 Christchurch Hants was adopted sometime between 1906 and 1911 by Joseph and Ellen Davis who lived at Tucking Mill, Compton Dando. I believe his real mother was an Ada Harris who was a servant at the Wyche in Bournemouth. I am trying to find some sort of connection as to how my Grandad ended up with the Dsvis family who came from Marshfield Gloucestershire originally. I understand that there may have been Harris families in the surrounding villages but cannot find any answers. Anyone who may have any info on either families or any photos of Tuckingmill around this time would be fantastic.
Thanks
Rachael Hayes

YourEnquiry: What a fantastic site. I am researching the Fords who were in Compton Dando from the early 1700's to late 1800's. I think two of them may have been paupers in 1787 and 1879 - do you know where I can find any information to confirm this?

YourEnquiry: Hi, I have been researching my family tree and have come to a bit of a brick wall! My research has suggested that there was a farm on Ham lane pre 1891 called Compton Green Farm. Could you possibly confirm this and also tell me what family/familes resided in this dwelling. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks Michelle
