Compton Dando Village Fete

Come along and enjoy all the fun of our traditional village fete:
Our theme this year will be
A Right Royal Country Fayre
and our special attraction is the Bath Spa Brass Band.
There will be plenty of terrific stalls and other attractions including - tombola wine or water marble game golf putting game - bouncy castle cake stall coconut shy coin in the water bric a brac splat the rat and many more.
There will be a BBQ serving delicious food, with cream teas served both in the village hall and St Mary's Church, ice cream and a Pimms Tent. The grand raffle with the main prizes: 2 Thermae Twilight Bath Spa tickets, 2 tickets for Bath Theatre Royal, 2 tickets for Bath Rugby, as well as numerous other prizes. Plus the annual Duck Race. We need some more helpers for the day to man a stall or do other odd jobs please call Richard Evans on 490144
Please sell some raffle tickets to friends, family and work colleagues
Books of 5 tickets are £5 and will be available shortly from anyone listed at the foot of this flyer
Start collecting items we can sell on the stalls such as books, toys, bric-a-brac, or plants
Please leave bric a brac in the red telephone box opposite the Pub for us to collect.
Make a cake, or jam, or chutney, or a summer pudding for the Cake Stall
Donate something for the Tombola stalls [gift or bottle]
Can you help to set up on the morning of the fete or help to clear down at the end?
Egg Catching
There will be an egg catching competition this year, so pick your partner well!
Marmalade, Preserves and Chutney Competition
A challenge to the people of the Parish to make marmalade, preserves and chutneys and enter them in a judged competition. A fabulous trophy is awarded to the winner of each category.
Royal Theme Dress
Please feel free to come along dressed in any royal regalia you desire. Best adult and child win a prize!
Scarecrow
The theme this year is Royal so get your thinking caps on. The Scarecrows will be on display by the Millennium Green fence during the afternoon and the cup awarded during the Fete.
Plus traditional competitions on the day: Duck Race, Milk the Cow, Marble Game
