Once again we'll be running our Big Breakfast and this time it coincides with Mothering Sunday. So why not give your Mum, Wife, Partner or whoever a bit of time off from preparing Sunday breakfast and join us in the Village Hall at 10:30 on Sunday 14 March for a special Mothing Sunday Breakfast. Due to the success at the Compton Dando summer fete of the Men's Marmalade and Jam competition, we shall be repeating the competition this year, with the addition of Preserves as a new category. So all you men out there get out your recipe books! All ladies who have been sent this email, would you please alert your partners, and any male friends in the villages whom you think may be interested in competing. The time to buy the oranges for marmalde making is around now. Vivian

Litter Picking last year WILL YOU please join us again this year ? see Whats on diary for details

Volunteers were rounded up by organiser Harriette Dottridge to Spring Clean the Village lanes on Sunday 15th February 2009. Supporters kindly made refreshments and served in the Parish Hall afterwards. Local MP Dan Norris , also kindly joined in with Villagers to clear up around 30 bags of litter from the verges.
